What? Rainforest are the Earth's oldest living ecosystem. They cover less then 6% of the earth's total surface area and contains half of the world's plants and animals. Why? Rainforests are important because they absorb carbon dioxide and converts it into oxygen for the world to breathe and reduces the world's climate change. Rainforests are also homes to many plants, animas and even people.
